Privacy policy

This website is operated by Mechanic2GO (Mechanic 2 Go), 2110 Harding St, Hollywood, FL 33020, United States ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the site collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to this website only — not to the map, phone or social services it links to, which have their own policies.

What we collect

• Service requests. When you use the request form we collect what you type: your name, email address, phone number, your vehicle (year, make, model), the service you need, where the vehicle is, and your comments. We also store the page the request came from, the language you used, the time it was sent, your browser's user-agent string and a one-way hashed version of your IP address used only to detect spam.
• Phone calls. If you call us, your carrier and our phone provider process the call under their own terms. We may note what you told us so we can prepare the visit.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp, browser) for security and troubleshooting, for a limited period.
• Analytics. Analytics on this site are cookieless (page views and referrers only, no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking). This site does not use advertising cookies and does not show a cookie banner because it does not need one. Your language choice (English or Spanish) is remembered in your browser's local storage.

How we use it

• To answer your request, schedule the visit and follow up by phone, text or email about that request.
• To keep the site secure and free of spam (honeypot fields, submission timing and rate limits are checked server-side).
• To keep records of the work we do for you, as any repair business must.

Who sees it

Your request is stored on servers managed for us by Mentes Inc. (mentesinc.com), the studio that builds and hosts this site, and is emailed to the shop through a transactional email provider. We do not sell your information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Third-party services on this site

• Google Fonts — typefaces are loaded from Google's servers; Google may log the request.
• Google Maps — the map of our location is an embedded Google service and loads only when you scroll to it; Google's privacy policy applies to it.
• CDN script — the smooth-scroll library is loaded from jsDelivr.

Retention

Service requests are kept for as long as needed to serve you and for our business records, typically up to 24 months after the last contact, unless the law requires longer. Server logs are rotated on a short cycle.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Florida residents and residents of states with consumer-privacy laws (such as California) have additional rights that we honor on request. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
